Membrane-Based Yeast Two-Hybrid System
A specialized protein interaction screening service designed to identify interacting partners for membrane proteins, which are typically difficult to study with conventional Y2H.

The traditional Yeast Two-Hybrid system works in the nucleus and is unsuitable for membrane proteins. This system uses split-ubiquitin or other technologies to reconstitute transcription factors upon interaction at the membrane, allowing for the discovery of protein-protein interactions for full-length membrane proteins in their native cellular context.
Key Features & Benefits:
- Designed for Full-Length Membrane Proteins (e.g., GPCRs, Receptors)
- Screens against cDNA Libraries for Novel Partner Discovery
- In Vivo System within a Cellular Environment
- Identifies Both Extracellular and Intracellular Interactions
Relevant Applications:
- Discovering Interactors for GPCRs and Ion Channels
- Mapping Receptor Signaling Complexes
- Studying Receptor-Ligand and Receptor-Adaptor Interactions
- Target Validation for Membrane Protein Drug Discovery
