Very good equipment

Average Rating 4.0

Application Area:

Cell Culture

Works well and is easy to use. Only issue is the sleeves. You have to be quite quick when getting your hands in and out to avoid large fluctuations in internal conditions.

Smoothly doing hypoxia experiments with HypoxyLab

Average Rating 4.0

Application Area:

Immunological assays on cells under hypoxic conditions

Very pleased with our purchase of the HypoxyLab. The machine is incredibly userfriendly, easy to install and get up and running. It takes up little space on the bench, and is very very easy to clean. There's enough space in the machine for one person to work and add compounds to cultures, and shelves have little spaces to keep falcon tubes. Experiments run smoothly and very happy with the data I have generated using the machine. The only issue I had in the beginning was overly much evaporation from my 96-well cultures, given that the humidity rate can't really be set over 80% (will become a watery mess and visibility will be lost due to condensation). I have been able to solve that using Nunc Edgeplates, although that does mean an additional expense. All people add HypoxyLab are incredibly friendly and approachable, many thanks to Michael in particular for being on call to help out whenever.

Effective and affordable equipment that gets the work done

Average Rating 4.0

Application Area:

Stem cell research and bone tissue engineering

A compact setup for one that has limited space in the cell culture facility. There is no gas leakage, and the control for oxygen tension is accurate, especially when the HypoxyLab is used with the OxylitePro. The User interface is intuitive and easy to control. Slight problems with precipitation at 85-90%, but this can be rectified with proper start-up of the instrument and sensor control. So far, I have been able to run the instrument continuously for up to 40 days before needing to shut it down for cleaning. I have used the HypoxyLab for stem cell culture with spinner flask and setup for electrical stimulation. There are outlets on the Lightweight Enclosure that allow cables to go through without causing gas leakage, but not extremely big. Getting power via a USB port is also possible. Alternative, the cables can also go through the hand covers at the side and sealed with cable clamps. There is sufficient workspace for simple procedures, such as quick medium changes. However, extensive cell culture work should still be conducted in a biosafety cabinet to ensure a sterile environment and prevent microbial contamination. Overall, my user experience with the HypoxyLab is positive. This is also made possible by the extremely helpful sales and supporting team, Ms. Petra and Mr, Michael. They are always contactable via email whenever I encounter a problem.

Easy-to-use hypoxic chamber

Average Rating 4.0

Application Area:

Hypoxic cell culture

The HypoxyLab is a compact system for the hypoxic cultivation of tumor cells. It enables a defined hypoxic environment to be set within a short time and maintained with a low consumption of nitrogen. The system provides good reproducible results that optimally support our research into the hypoxia of tumor cells. Operation is very intuitive and easy to learn. Customer support is highly responsive and accommodating.
