Immunology and serology
We use the Roche cobas e 411 immunoassay analyzer in our routine laboratory testing for hormones (TSH, FT4, Prolactin), tumor markers (AFP, PSA), and infectious disease serology (HBsAg, anti-HCV). The analyzer is robust, easy to use, and delivers fast and reproducible results. The reagent packs are easy to handle with minimal preparation time. The throughput is ideal for mid-sized laboratories, and the maintenance protocols are straightforward. It is a reliable system with Roche’s strong support network. However, the cost per test can be relatively high in resource-limited settings.

Determination of HIV, HTLV and HepC antibodies in serum
The analyzer gives accurate results, but it does not have the continuous loading function for high volumes. Otherwise, it works very well and does not require onerous maintenance.
