Biotix, Inc. is a global company that develops and manufactures laboratory consumables and liquid handling solutions for life science, clinical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology laboratories.

While many overlook the importance of their pipette tips, tips actually play a big role in data quality. A pipetting error at the start of a project can doom it from the beginning. Biotix seeks to empower researchers not just with the best pipetting tools available, but with tools that actually work to reduce pipetting errors.

The Biotix foundation is built on more than 25 years of engineering and development - research that led to the invention of the filter tip and the low retention tip. Through customer feedback and testing, Biotix is constantly developing new liquid handling products based on the needs of the researcher.

Innovative technology

There is more to this pipette tip than meets the eye. Ergonomic solutions can be found not just in pipettors, but in the tip. Biotix manual pipette tips use patented FlexFit® technology, designed to reduce the risk of repetitive stress disorder, while providing a perfect fit and a secure seal.

Accuracy and precision are required for reproducible results. Labs are often unaware if they are using low retention tips or non-low retention tips, but this detail could be the difference between dispensing all of the sample versus most of the sample.

X-Resin® technology is a hydrophobic resin that maximizes sample recovery. However, the most innovative feature is found at the distal end of the tip. Blade® technology is a mathematic ratio that determines the best amount of surface area at the distal end of the tip to greatly reduce the risk of hanging droplet formation. This means an end to tip-touch-off, saving time, reducing sample loss and improving ergonomics.

Biotix pipette tips maximize accuracy and precision

All Biotix tips are certified free of RNase, DNase, Pyrogens, and PCR Inhibitors. Manufactured under stringent controls in an ISO 9001 certified facility, each lot is tested for accuracy and precision, ensuring superior quality and compatibility. All raw materials are controlled and inspected for quality.

All racks include a label with a unique bar-coded serial number, part number, and description for traceability to the individual rack. Biotix manual filter tips are available in a variety of sizes including 10ul, 10ulXL, 200ul, 300uL and 1250uL, and include: sterile, non-sterile, low retention and non-low retention options and reload options.
