Developed in conjunction with leading cell biologists, the new Whitley H85 Hypoxystation from Don Whitley Scientific is specifically designed for hypoxia and anoxia research applications.

Accurate control of oxygen and carbon dioxide allows researchers to replicate in vivo conditions and manipulate cells without altering the incubation environment.

Continuously monitored, the oxygen and carbon dioxide levels are tightly controlled without the need for an external gas mixer. In addition to extremely accurate gas control, temperature and humidity levels can also be regulated and there is also a refrigeration unit available as an option. The H85 Hypoxystation benefits from a full-colour intuitive touch screen display for control of all workstation parameters.

Patented remote-controlled motorised glove ports permit bare-hand or gloved working and each port can also act as a small airlock for rapid sample transfer. Equipment and bulk samples can be conveniently transferred using the integrated 30 litre airlock that utilises nitrogen flushing to preserve the workstation environment. Ergonomically designed, the main incubation chamber is constructed from annealed acrylic and provides a generous working area.

A flexible approach supported by 30 years' experience in workstation design and development, Don Whitley Scientific is a world leader in modified atmosphere technology. The H85 Hypoxystation has been designed in response to specific research requirements to ensure ultimate performance, user comfort, convenience and reliability. A network of international distributors and a team of UK-based service engineers provide complete product and customer support.

Cell / Tissue CultureCell culture or tissue culture is used to study the biology of cells or tissues and to isolate cellular products in an environment which can be manipulated and well defined. Accurately control your culture environment with bioreactors or culture incubators, bind your cells to a surface or together with an extracellular matrix. Distinguish cell types with differential media or proliferate cells with certain characteristics using selective media. Enrich your media with supplements such as growth factors, sera and vitamins.
