Tosoh Bioscience LLC, a provider of chromatographic solutions for the isolation of biomolecules, announced today the release of two new ion exchange chromatography resins designed for the high resolution purification of proteins, peptides and oligonucleotides.

These resins are now available for sale in the Americas from Tosoh Bioscience. TOYOPEARL GigaCap S-grade resins maintain the high capacity of Tosoh Bioscience’s popular TOYOPEARL GigaCap M-grade resins while the S-grade’s 35 µm particle size provides high resolution for improved separation of process impurities and aggregates. The new TOYOPEARL GigaCap Q-650S anion exchange resin meets the growing demand for higher resolution process chromatography products and is ideal for applications from the capture of oligonucleotides to the polishing of monoclonal antibodies.

The new TOYOPEARL GigaCap S-650S cation exchange resin has been optimized for the high resolution purification of IgG’s, peptides, and monoclonal antibodies.

According to Chris Manzari, Marketing Manager for process chromatography media at Tosoh Bioscience LLC, ”We are very pleased to announce that the TOYOPEARL GigaCap Q-650S and TOYOPEARL GigaCap S-650S are available for order today to chromatographers in need of the capacity and resolution these resins offer.”

Ion ChromatographyIon chromatography, also known as ion exchange chromatography, is a high-performance liquid chromatographic technique used for the separation and identification of ions or polar molecules in a sample, including proteins, nucleotides and amino acids. Equipment includes ion exchange columns, ion exclusion columns, ion chromatography systems, pumps, and detectors. Find the best ion chromatography equipment in our peer-reviewed product directory: compare products, check customer reviews and receive pricing direct from manufacturers.AntibodiesAntibodies are used in techniques such as confocal and fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISPOT, immunohistochemistry, western blotting and immunopreciptation. Select specific antigen reactivity, high specific affinity, low non-specific binding, monoclonal or polyclonal, primary or secondary antibodies and associated conjugates such as an enzyme or dye for visualization.OligonucleotidesOligonucleotides are small nucleic acid polymers, usually less than 20 bases in length. Oligonucleotides can be made via enzymatic cleavage or more commonly by chemical synthesis with polymerases. Their use includes FISH, southern blots, microarrays and as primers in PCR. High fidelity synthesis kits and detection systems are available for easy production and detection, respectively.ChromatographyChromatography is a powerful technique used to separate and analyze components of mixtures based on their chemical properties. It is widely used in fields like biochemistry, pharmaceuticals, and environmental analysis. By exploiting differences in the interaction of substances with a stationary phase and a mobile phase, chromatography enables precise purification and quantification of compounds. Whether you're working with complex biological samples or industrial chemicals, chromatography is essential for obtaining high-quality results.
