Bioo Scientific’s updated NEXTflex™ ChIP-Seq Kit now includes an optional protocol to completely eliminate gel size selection. The alternative bead-based protocol reduces the required sample prep time by 2 hours and allows for complete automation of library prep.

According to Dr. Masoud Toloue, Director of Genomic Research at Bioo Scientific, “gel size selection is by far the most tedious and time consuming library preparation step. Eliminating it not only speeds preparation, but also allows for full automation.”

The addition of the gel-free protocol to the NEXTflex™ ChIP-Seq Kit further simplifies the genome-wide profiling of DNA-protein interactions. The NEXTflex ChIP-Seq system facilitates this analysis by reducing the amount of time needed for library preparation and significantly reducing sequencing costs by allowing up to 96 samples to be run in a single flow cell lane. The enzymatic steps in the NEXTflex ChIP-Seq kit take advantage of Bioo Scientific’s proprietary NanoQ™ low input binding enzymes which have been designed for use with DNA input material of 10 ng or less. The NEXTflex ChIP-Seq Kit also features “Enhanced Adapter Ligation Technology” which results in library preps with a larger number of unique sequencing reads by making improvements to the ligation enzymatic mix, the user will now have the ability to perform ligations with longer adapters and expect to see better binding efficiencies. The NEXTflex ChIP-Seq Kit simplifies workflow by using master mixed reagents and magnetic bead based cleanup, reducing pipetting and eliminating time consuming steps in library preparation. In addition, the availability of up to 96 unique adapter barcodes makes this the most high-throughput ChIP-seq kit available.
