The Eppendorf Mastercycler^® ep realplex has been honored with one of the world's most coveted design prizes, the red dot design award 2007

An international jury of well known design experts has chosen the Eppendorf Mastercycler^® ep realplex for the red dot as one of a few products in the area of lab technology among a large number of submissions.

This year companies from 43 countries with a total of 2,548 products were judged by the jury.

The award honors individuality, creativity and the high degree of innovation of the product design.

In the Eppendorf Mastercycler^® ep realplex, used for real-time PCR, compact, space-saving design is combined with extremely high heating and cooling rates, short detection times and intuitive programming. The time necessary for real-time PCR is thereby considerably reduced.

Submissions for the red dot award have been requested annually since 1955 and prizes have been awarded to internationally exceptional design performances of the most varied industrial products. It is one of the largest and most well-known design competitions in the world.

In past years Eppendorf has already won several design awards for its innovative and high quality lab products. This tradition is now continued with the red dot design award 2007 for the Mastercycler^® ep realplex.
