Stratedigm has announced the commercial launch of its A700 High Throughput Hotel. The A700 complements the company’s existing line of Flow Cytometry platforms which include the A600 High Throughput Auto Sampler and Stratedigm’s suite of Flow cytometer analyzers, ranging from the entry level two laser, eight parameter SE520 model to Stratedigm’s flagship the S1000Ex, which can be configured with up to four laser and eighteen parameters.

The A700 High Throughput Hotel shares the same platform-based design philosophy utilized in Stratedigm’s existing products, allowing for a wide range of expandability and customization while offering the first fully integrated automation solution for Flow Cytometry applications.

“The A700 Hotel was designed to seamlessly integrate with our existing products while allowing intuitive, template driven experiment design and powerful data analysis and visualization using our CellCapTure software. State of the art automation features including intelligent fluidics management for long sample runs, remote system control and monitoring using any iDevice or PC, compatibility with a wide range of micro titer plates and a variety of custom tube racks make the A700 Hotel the most advanced and user friendly Flow Cytometry automation platform on the market. With the launch of the A700 Hotel, Stratedigm’s automation suite is uniquely positioned to meet the needs of the existing high throughput/high content markets in Pharma and Biotech, in addition to offering high-traffic core labs around the world the ability to have their Flow Cytometers run samples unsupervised and overnight to increase revenue and meet the needs of the growing Flow Cytometry community. The commercial launch of the A700 Hotel marks the completion of our automation platform and the company’s transition into launching the next generation of sorters,” noted Shervin Javadi, Stratedigm’s CEO.

Flow Cytometry / Cell CountingFlow cytometers are used to count, sort and examine multiple characteristics of cells. Other cell analysis equipment includes image cytometers, cell counters, fluorescence-activated cell sorters (FACS), magnetic-activated cell sorters (MACS), and a range of flow cytometry assay kits. Flow cytometers can reveal information on cell viability, cell proliferation, apoptosis and cell cycle progression, as well as identify cell populations and intracellular or cell-surface molecules. Additionally, some flow cytometers, known as FACS, have an additional sorting function after analysis. Cell counters and image cytometers count live and dead cell populations and can also conduct cell proliferation assays. Such processes use instruments for assays like cell based assays and ELISA, for sample preparation like shakers, centrifuges and incubators, and for analysis such as sequencing and western blot analyzers. Useful features of robotic instruments include speed, reproducibility, barcode readers, software and automation.Automated Liquid HandlingAutomated liquid handling equipment is used to mix, dilute and dispense allotted volumes of liquid into microplates and other vessels automatically. The robotic, liquid handling arms can dispense from single channel to 3456 multichannel as well as operate nanoliter dispensing, enabling high throughput of samples.
