Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corp, has announced their new MSA Series precision high voltage modules. The MSA Series expands on Spellman’s highly regarded MS Series high voltage modules.

These new modules are designed to be compact, provide high performance, and include high voltage modules are available with outputs of 0-1kV, 0-2kV and 0-3kV, at up to 0.9W, in either positive or negative polarity. Input voltage is 24Vdc. Like all others in the MS series, it will be offered in PCB mount format, with voltage monitor and arc and short circuit protection.

The MSA Series features remote voltage programming and monitoring (0-10Vdc for 0-100% of rated output voltage). Additionally, a status signal and enable signal provides simple control of the power supply. All units have built-in protection against fault conditions. The MSA Series are intended for general use where a compact, high-performance PCB mountable power supply is required. An aluminum enclosure helps reduce radiated emissions.

Typical Applications include:

  • Photomultiplier Tubes
  • Electron Multiplier
  • Mass Spectrometry
  • Electrostatic Lenses
  • Nuclear Instruments

Mass SpectrometryMass spectrometry (MS) is a powerful analytical technique used to identify and quantify molecules based on the mass-to-charge ratio of gas-phase ions. It provides detailed information about the structure, composition, and properties of compounds and is widely used across fields such as environmental monitoring, materials science, drug discovery and development, food and beverage testing, and wider chemical research. Key MS techniques include tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS), liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LS-MS) and inductively coupled plasma (ICP-MS). Choosing from these wide range of techniques and technologies can be a daunting task, so keep up to date with scientific applications, performance expectations, and customer reviews here all in one place.
