Product news

To see the latest in innovative analytical and separation science instrumentation from LECO Corporation visit their booth at Pittcon 2012. This year they will be introducing simultaneous carbon/nitrogen/sulfur analysis for macro samples with the new TruMac CNS, as well as oxygen and sulfur capabilities for the CHN628 series of elemental determinators. Demonstrations of their exclusive Cornerstone™ touch-screen enabled software, currently available with their CS844 carbon/sulfur and ONH836 oxygen/nitrogen/hydrogen analyzers, will also be available.

The Citius™ LC-HRT, last year’s Pittcon Editors’ Gold Award winner, now features exclusive MSc2 CID technology, while new CI source capabilities have been released for the Pegasus® GC-HRT. Newly released application work will be presented throughout the week for their high resolution time-of-flight mass spectrometers. Stop by the LECO booth for a complete list of oral and poster presentation dates and times. Also on display will be the Pegasus 4D GCxGC-TOFMS and the AC600 Calorimeter.

Members of the media are invited to pick up a media kit and listen to updates and previews on current and new instrumentation at a press conference Monday, March 12th at 11:00 am in room 303.

LECO Corporation will be exhibiting on booth 2718 at Pittcon.

AC600 Semi-Automatic Isoperibol Calorimeter

LECO Corp.

The AC600 sets the standard for future calorimetry instruments. Its semi-automated operation combined with the use of thermodynamic TruSpeed™ obtains a rapid analysis of calorific content and increased instrument throughput without sacrificing accuracy or instrument precision. A new, ergonomically designed, lightweight combustion vessel assures ease of operation while greatly reducing operator strain.

It provides detailed information about the structure, composition, and properties of compounds and is widely used across fields such as environmental monitoring, materials science, drug discovery and development, food and beverage testing, and wider chemical research. Key MS techniques include tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS), liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LS-MS) and inductively coupled plasma (ICP-MS). Choosing from these wide range of techniques and technologies can be a daunting task, so keep up to date with scientific applications, performance expectations, and customer reviews here all in one place. Calorimeters can be categorized into bomb calorimeters, constant pressure calorimeters, differential scanning calorimeters, isothermal titration calorimeters, X-ray microcalorimeters, heat-loss calorimeters, and high-energy particle calorimeters. The choice of calorimeter depends on the application.GC-MS GC-MS (gas chromatography-mass spectrometry) instruments and equipment are used to separate, quantify and identify mixtures of small and volatile compounds, such as polycyclic aromatics, fatty acids and alcohols. Often used in drug detection, forensic investigation and environmental analysis for pesticides and contaminants, GC-MS is a powerful addition to your lab’s analytical capabilities.
