Product news

Micronic BV, specialists in traceable sample storage solutions, have announced the introduction of the TraXis TRxD coded tube reader.

Developed for laboratories looking to achieve absolute sample security and traceability the TraXis TRxD is the only tube reader that can simultaneously read both 2D TraXis codes and 1D linear bar codes.

Built to deliver long-term reliability and industry leading precision the compact TraXis TRxD reader is able to read a single code in less than 0.5 seconds significantly enhancing sample storage productivity. Affordably priced the new reader comes complete with easy-to-use Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) compliant software facilitating intuitive and precise tube code reading and seamless integration into any laboratory sample database.

The versatile TRxD reader may be simply installed through a USB connection onto any Windows platform where data can be exported to almost any software application. Wireless connectivity is available as an option. An Ethernet socket is provided for simple integration into networks.

Micronic is the only manufacturer to offer a choice of 2D coded tubes (TraXis® and Tracker-DM). To ensure total quality, one hundred percent of all Micronic 2D coded tubes are read before leaving the factory.

Using a proprietary laser encryption technique guarantees that the solid propylene code area on TraXis tubes delivers unmatched resistance to solvent attack. As the 2D code is totally integrated it will not fade or peel off even when subjected to repeated handling and freeze-thaw cycles. The code clarity will remain unchanged throughout the lifespan of the tube. TraXis tubes may be encrypted with up to 8.5 billion different combinations of a numerical code that provide a unique identification and radically enhanced sample storage traceability. For reliable, cost effective sample storage, TraXis is the only system to give your tubes a unique identity and absolute traceability.
