Product news

Labcold has announced a novel and user-friendly method for temperature mapping and validation of temperature-controlled chambers that is potentially far less costly than current methods. This solution makes it much simpler and cheaper for users of refrigerators, freezers and incubators to ensure that correct temperatures are being maintained throughout the storage chamber as well as complying with the regulatory temperature mapping requirements of, for example, the MHRA.

Whereas existing methods require users to invest in and maintain expensive equipment or alternatively employ specialist outside contractors, the new Labcold method takes out the strain and cost. Suitable for fridges, freezers, incubators, cold rooms etc., the Labcold system supplies packs containing small pre-calibrated temperature recorders, which the user simply places at predetermined positions within the chamber to be tested. After a set time (24 hours to 5 days depending on the user's protocol) the recorders are removed from the chamber, parcelled up and posted back to Labcold. The user subsequently receives a comprehensive report, providing all the test results and documentation needed to satisfy GMP requirements for that chamber.

Various packs are available with different contents and prices, dependent upon the size of chamber to be measured and the protocol required.

Refrigerators Freezers and CryogenicsRefrigerators, Freezers & Cryogenics can be used for preservation or experimental purposes. Types of freezers include deep freeze, -80C°C, ultra-low temperature, explosion proof, cryogenic and controlled rate freezers. Freezing is also used in freeze-drying equipment for dehydration processes. Feature to consider in freezers include temperature control and recorders, failure alarms and self-closing mechanisms.IncubatorsLaboratory incubators are used to provide a stable environment to cultivate and store samples in, giving you optimal control of temperature, humidity, oxygen and CO2 levels. Incubators are necessary equipment for cell culture and microbial research. Control temperature with heated or refrigerated incubators, or the levels of CO2 and oxygen with CO2 incubators. Using environmental chambers, create a humid climate for testing samples.
