Industry news

The SFC6000 is Sensirion’s next generation mass flow controller, impressing with an unbeatable price performance ratio and a very attractive delivery time of eight weeks. While the industry is currently struggling with delivery times of 30 to 53 weeks, SFC6000 samples are available within two to four weeks. In addition, selected SFC6000 configurations are available in catalog distribution, meaning you can order them for initial testing and evaluation today and have the product in your mailbox tomorrow.

The SFC6000 is very small and light and therefore allows the customer to optimize their devices in terms of size and weight. This is a decisive advantage, especially for portable devices. Furthermore, it offers great performance in terms of repeatability, accuracy, control range, and speed. The SFC600 is highly integrated and has a very robust supply chain due to the very low number of electronic components used.

It is most suitable for applications in semiconductors (front opening unified pods (FOUP), glass coating, and treatment), analytical instruments (gas chromatography, bioreactors), industrial automation as well as medical equipment (anesthesia, ventilation, heart-lung machines, N2O therapy).

Based on the thermal-mass measurement principle and using our proven CMOSens® MEMS technology, Sensirion builds radical mass flow controllers with best-in-class performance and speed, which, unlike most other devices on the market, do not drift and do not require in-service re-calibration.

If you are looking for a mass flow meter, the SFM6000 is a valve-less sister variant of the SFC6000, offering the same performance at an even lower price.

To learn more about the SFC6000 mass flow controller, visit Sensirion at booth #739 at Pittcon in Philadelphia, PA, USA from March 20 to 22, 2023, or check out the company's website.

Flow Cytometry / Cell CountingFlow cytometers are used to count, sort and examine multiple characteristics of cells. Other cell analysis equipment includes image cytometers, cell counters, fluorescence-activated cell sorters (FACS), magnetic-activated cell sorters (MACS), and a range of flow cytometry assay kits. Flow cytometers can reveal information on cell viability, cell proliferation, apoptosis and cell cycle progression, as well as identify cell populations and intracellular or cell-surface molecules. Additionally, some flow cytometers, known as FACS, have an additional sorting function after analysis. Cell counters and image cytometers count live and dead cell populations and can also conduct cell proliferation assays. Find the best flow cytometers, cell counters and cell sorters in our peer-reviewed product directory: compare products, check customer reviews and receive pricing direct from manufacturers.Bioprocessing / FermentationBioprocessing is the use of biological materials to perform commercial, scientific or medical research processes. Biological materials used include cells, enzymes and organisms. Usually bioprocessing requires a batch or continuous bioreactor such as a fermentor or cell culture system. The advantages of using a reactor include high productivity, easy configuration, adjustable values and automation.SemiconductorsGas ChromatographyGas chromatography (GC) is an analytical technique used to separate and analyze gases or volatile liquids in a sample. It is widely used in environmental testing, food safety, pharmaceuticals, and forensic science. GC is ideal for identifying and quantifying compounds that are gaseous or can be vaporized without decomposition. Browse our peer-reviewed product directory to find the best gas chromatography systems, compare products, check reviews, and get pricing directly from manufacturers.
