SelectScience® has announced the latest laboratory products to win a prized Seal of Quality in recognition of outstanding customer feedback.

Launched in July 2017, SelectScience Seals of Quality recognize the top-rated products that have consistently received the highest review ratings from scientists around the world and are designed to further assist scientists in making important purchasing decisions for their labs.

At a glitzy awards ceremony during the 2019 American Association of Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Eppendorf became only the 21st company ever to receive a prized Silver Seal of Quality, for its Eppendorf Research® Plus Pipette (adjustable).

There are four levels of Seal — Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze — which are assigned to around 0.1% of products on the SelectScience® website and are allocated in line with strict criteria based on the number of reviews a product has received and the average rating of those reviews.

“Our Seals of Quality program aims to help scientists across the world see at a glance the lab products most appreciated by their peers, so we are delighted at how well received it has been across the industry,” said SelectScience Editor, Dr. Lois Manton O’Byrne.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our reviewers for sharing their valuable opinions and also to congratulate the latest Seal of Quality winners, who have been recognized by the people who matter most — their customers.”

Other cell analysis equipment includes image cytometers, cell counters, fluorescence-activated cell sorters (FACS), magnetic-activated cell sorters (MACS), and a range of flow cytometry assay kits. Flow cytometers can reveal information on cell viability, cell proliferation, apoptosis and cell cycle progression, as well as identify cell populations and intracellular or cell-surface molecules. Additionally, some flow cytometers, known as FACS, have an additional sorting function after analysis. Cell counters and image cytometers count live and dead cell populations and can also conduct cell proliferation assays.
