Product news

Building on the success and principles of SMART Automation, Sakura Finetek proudly introduces the next step in Total Laboratory Automation to help advance histopathology laboratories and improve patient care. It is called Tissue-Tek® AutoSection® Automated Microtome.

The first of its kind, this fully-automated and programmable microtome aligns and trims blocks with optimal precision, section after section. AutoAlign™, the core technology behind AutoSection®, precisely orients blocks and dramatically reduces the risk of losing tissue; revolutionary for re-cuts. In addition, with AutoTrim™ technology, blocks are ready for sectioning in only 10 seconds. Another major benefit of automation and stress free microtomy is the reduction of repetitive motion and the increase of staff satisfaction. Optimized for use with Tissue-Tek® Paraform® Cassettes, as well as all other conventional tissue cassettes.

AutoSection® sets the standard ensuring:
• Consistent high-quality sectioning for every technicians and tissue type
• Preservation of valuable tissue from re-cuts
• Improved efficiency and speed
• Minimal repetitive motions

With SMART Automation Sakura Finetek offers histopathology laboratories unique automated products, based on LEAN and SIX Sigma principles. Tissue-Tek® x series, AutoTEC®, Prisma® & Film® and AutoWrite® offer a continuous efficient workflow with consistent high quality. This enables laboratories to work faster, better and more efficient, leading to unmatched same day results and improved patient care. With the introduction of Tissue-Tek® AutoSection® Automated Microtome Sakura has added another unique product to the SMART Automation spectrum.

Sakura has achieved its success and solidified its reputation by providing timely, ingenious solutions to the real challenges laboratories face on a day-to-day basis. Their rich history has given them a thorough understanding of technology, quality, reliability, value for money and customer’s requirements.
