Product news

Randox are working with the international racing laboratories to maintain the integrity of racing, to make certain animals are winning races on their own natural merits and to ensure the safety of the animals and jockeys is maintained.

Randox supply a comprehensive range of diagnostic solutions for the detection of prohibited substances in international racing.

Randox have developed a new novel screening technology known as Biochip Array Technology. This latest revolution from Randox can be used for testing samples from Equine and Canine racing samples. Randox Biochip Array Technology is a screening system which enables simultaneous testing of multiple analytes using one single sample. It is a technology based on ELISA principles - but rather than binding antibodies to a microtitre plate the analytes are bound to a 9mm x 9mm Biochip on different X Y co-ordinates. Randox offer a wide portfolio of drugs of abuse, growth promoters, synthetic steroids and their metabolites.

Randox also have a comprehensive range of ELISA kits which includes Beta-agonists, Boldenone, Corticosteroids, 19-Nortestosterone/Trenbolone, Ractopamine, Stanozolol, Trenbolone, Phenylbutazone and Zeranol, with the release of a Flunixin and Ketamine ELISA coming soon. All kits offer excellent limits of detection, a wide range of sample matrices, small sample volume and outstanding cross reactivity.

To complement our range of screening tests Randox have developed a range of immunoaffinity columns for sample purification prior to sample analysis by screening or confirmatory technology such as GC/MS, LC/MS. Randox immunoaffinity columns are efficient, whilst also being cost-effective and convenient. Available columns have long shelf lives and come with equilibration and storage buffers. Available columns include Clenbuterol/β-agonists, Corticosteroids, Trenbolone and 19-Nortestosterone, Stilbene, Zeranol and our new multi-analyte Growth Promoter column.

ELISAEnzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA), also known as enzyme immunoassays (EIA), are used for the detection and quantification of proteins, peptides and antibodies in a sample. ELISA often comes in kit format, with pre-selected antibody pairs to detect specific proteins or biomarkers of diseases such as diabetes and obesity, or cardiovascular and neurological disorders. Detection is made possible with chemiluminescent, fluorescent or colorimetric substrates and detection instruments such as microplate / ELISA readers. Other kits available include: Enzyme-linked immunospot (ELISPOT) assays for the quantification of protein-producing cells and chemiluminescent immunoassays (CLIA) kits. This can reveal information on cell health (apoptosis, cytotoxicity, viability and proliferation assays), cell metabolism, cell migration and cell signaling mechanisms. Find the best cell-based assay products, kits and equipment with our peer reviewed product directory: compare products, check customer reviews and receiving pricing direct from manufacturers.Point-of-CarePoint-of-Care Testing (POCT) or Near Patient Testing (NPT) products are available for urine, blood and other clinical chemistry analyses. POCT includes: blood glucose testing, blood gas and electrolytes analysis, rapid coagulation testing (PT / INR), rapid cardiac markers diagnostics, drugs of abuse screening, urine strips testing, pregnancy testing, fecal occult blood analysis, food pathogens screening, hemoglobin diagnostics, infectious disease testing and cholesterol screening.
