Product news

SMI-LabHut’s range of pumps is designed for use in a variety of applications, including metering, liquid chromatography and analytical to small-scale preparative chromatography.

The patented low dead volume pulse dampers and single or dual piston mechanisms make LabHut pumps virtually pulse-free, thus providing unmatched performance. Some pumps feature a pressure transducer which allows real time pressure monitoring and enables upper and lower pressure limits to be set.

The self-flushing system on all pumps ensures that seal life is extended by preventing the build up of corrosive salts. Autoprime™ one-button purging on some pumps makes it easy to prime or purge the pump.

Quick-Set software is the easy and free way to control all LabHut pumps. Using the standard RS-232 connection, Quick-Set enables you to run, stop and monitor your pump.

UHPLC and HPLCHigh performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and ultra high performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC), also known as UPLC, are analytical techniques used to separate, identify and quantitate components of complex mixtures including biological samples such as proteins and lipids as well as chemical mixtures of pesticides, drugs and oils. Both techniques are liquid chromatographic methods but differ by operating pressures (HPLC < 6000 psi < UHPLC ). Components of HPLC and UHPLC systems include columns, detectors, pumps, autosamplers and column heaters. Explore a range of UHPLC and HPLC columns for your specific sample needs including reverse phase, normal phase, ion exchange, HILIC, ion exclusion and size exclusion columns. For more specialized HPLC, explore FPLC, countercurrent LC and simulated moving bed systems. The pressures/vacuums generated are determined by the type of pump used. High vacuum pumps include diffusion, ion, roots and turbopumps; for primary/medium vacuum applications see rotary vane pumps, scroll & diaphragm pumps. For the positive displacement of liquids explore a range of syringe and peristaltic pumps, as well as fluid aspirators.
