Product news

HORIBA Jobin Yvon announce the new PSA300 Particle Size and Shape Analyser. The PSA300 includes sophisticated software for the automatic location and characterisation of particles as small as 0.5µm.

A comprehensive report is generated after the characterisation, and provides interactive access for further investigation of individual particles referenced in the report. The PSA300 is 21 CFR compliant, and all measurements are traceable.

A very efficient sample dispersion system is available that disperses the particles without breaking them, and a robotic sample automation system is also available as an option.

Particle CharacterizationParticle characterization instruments are used to determine particle size distribution, shape, surface area, zeta potential, density and porosity of particles and materials. Multiple tecchniques are available for determining particle size, shape and count including dynamic light scattering (DLS), laser diffraction, electrozone (Coulter technique), imaging particle analysis and single particle optical sensing. Determine the density of your material with a gas pycnometer or examine its surface area and porosity with gas adsorption analyzers and mercury porosimeters.
