The Carousel 6 reaction station from Radleys sets the benchmark for individual chemists that require ease of use, operational versatility and productivity in a benchtop synthetic workstation.

The Carousel 6 provides chemists with a simple and convenient tool that can be configured to simultaneously stir up to six reactions at -70°C to +180°C, in a range of round bottomed flasks from 5ml to 250ml. Drop-in aluminium inserts provide the flexibility for different size reaction flasks to be used in a single system. An integral reflux head with central gas inlet and radial distribution system, combined with gas-tight PTFE caps, allows reactions to be carried out under an inert atmosphere.

The affordability of the Carousel 6 brings all the productivity benefits of parallel synthesis to individual chemists at a fraction of the cost of comparable systems. Designed by chemists for chemists, the Carousel 6 is easy to set-up and requires minimal training time. The small footprint of the Carousel 6 means that it uses the minimum of fume cupboard space. The unit allows each reaction flask to be clearly visible and easily accessible for addition of reagents. With no electrical or moving parts the Carousel 6 has proven itself in thousands of installations worldwide to be reliable and maintenance free.

For reactions requiring sub-ambient operation the Carousel 6 offers a robust HDPE cooling reservoir option that is compatible with a wide range of freezing mixtures, including dry ice/acetone enabling efficient operation from ambient down to -70°C.

Where effective stirring of highly viscous liquids is required (up to 10,000cps at 500rpm), the Tornado overhead stirring system integrates with the Carousel 6 to provide direct stirring of flask contents with a PTFE stirring blade.
