Product news

The latest tool in genome science – CRISPR/Cas9 is a simple and efficient genome editing tool which allows for specific genome disruption and replacement resulting in high specificity and low cell toxicity.

AMSBIO CRISPR Complete kits are tailor-made for specific projects by AMSBIO genetic engineers, who have extensive experience editing cells and in animal models. CRISPR kits are available for almost any project type, including knockouts, knock-ins, point mutations, gene replacements, humanizations, tagging, and many more. In the custom designed CRISPR Complete Kit there would be crRNA—custom-designed for the project, tracrRNA, Cas9 Nuclease Protein and Donor construct—custom-designed for the project. The donor construct may be provided as oligonucleotide or plasmid, depending on the project needs.

AMSBIO also offers a comprehensive selection of CRISPR/Cas9 products for genome engineering—including Cas9 and gRNA delivery systems in a flexible range of formats, homologous recombination donor vectors, and AAVS1 Safe Harbor targeting. This includes all in one Cas9/gRNA vectors, vectors for multiplex gRNA delivery, Cas9 mRNA and protein for transfection and quantitative PCR primers and antibodies for Cas9 detection. AMSBIO’s CRISPR/Cas9 kits are changing the field of genomic editing by providing scientists with powerful tools able to change any gene, in any cell in a highly-targeted manner and without introducing foreign DNA.

Founded in 1987, AMS Biotechnology (AMSBIO) is recognized today as a leading company contributing to the acceleration of discovery through the provision of cutting-edge life science technology, products and services for research and development in the medical, nutrition, cosmetics and energy industries. AMSBIO can draw upon in-depth expertise in extracellular matrices to provide elegant solutions for studying cell motility, migration, invasion and proliferation. Genome AnalysisGenomics, the study of genomes, includes functional genomics, evolutionary genomics and comparative genomics. There are many genomic technologies such as DNA sequencing of whole genomes, computational biology and bioinformatics. DNA and nucleic acids must be isolated and concentrated from cells for analysis with kits, automated analyzers and software. Other useful technologies for studying genomics include PCR, microarrays and electrophoresis.OligonucleotidesOligonucleotides are small nucleic acid polymers, usually less than 20 bases in length. Oligonucleotides can be made via enzymatic cleavage or more commonly by chemical synthesis with polymerases. Their use includes FISH, southern blots, microarrays and as primers in PCR. High fidelity synthesis kits and detection systems are available for easy production and detection, respectively.DNA SequencingDNA sequencing, such as sanger sequencing, is a biological technique that determines the precise order of nucleotide bases in a fragment or template of DNA. DNA sequencers and genetic analyzers are based on capillary electrophoresis, where labeled DNA fragments are electrophoretically separated by size as they migrate through a polymer.
