Product news

Pfeiffer Vacuum, one of the world’s leading producers of vacuum products and services, introduces PentaLine™ rotary vane pumps with a new optimized drive system, which provides cost-effective, environmentally friendly vacuum for applications in the low and medium range of 10-3 mbar. Available in pumping speeds up to 35 m3/h, PentaLine™ is designed for use in analytical instrumentation, research and development applications, and critical industrial and coating processes.

The PentaLine™ optimized drive system reduces power consumption by up to 50% resulting in significantly lower operating costs. Their new standby operating mode assures longer service life as well as cost savings in maintenance. PentaLine™ rotary vane pumps are hermetically sealed, which prevents oil leaks. In addition, these pumps incorporate a motor concept that makes them easy to deploy anywhere in the world. They run noiselessly and cooler, with minimum vibration, assuring a quieter work environment.

Pfeiffer Vacuum has developed a total vacuum solution for analytical instrumentation that utilize vacuum. PentaLine™ rotary vane pumps combined with HiPace™ turbopumps and ActiveLine CMR/CCR capacitive transmitters, provide a total vacuum solution for optimized analytical performance.

Preparative ChromatographyPreparative chromatography equipment is used for purification purposes, separating and collecting compounds eluted from a mixture which can then be subsequently used for further purposes. This can be done in large quantities or small. Preparative chromatography systems are usually low to medium pressure liquid chromatographs that are semi-automated. The pressures/vacuums generated are determined by the type of pump used. High vacuum pumps include diffusion, ion, roots and turbopumps; for primary/medium vacuum applications see rotary vane pumps, scroll & diaphragm pumps. For the positive displacement of liquids explore a range of syringe and peristaltic pumps, as well as fluid aspirators.
