Product news

PerkinElmer introduces the new Series 200EP (Enhanced Performance) Photo Diode Array (PDA) detector which now expands the capabilities of their Series 200 HPLC offering. The new detector provides deeper insights into results through superior linearity and best-in-class spectral integrity, allowing uncompromised quali-quantitative analysis of complex mixtures.

With its wide linear dynamic range and low drift, the Series 200EP PDA detector is the ideal tool for demanding quantitative analyses like impurities in drug or environmental samples with wide variation in compound concentration.

Coupled with TotalChrom® Chromatography Data Systems, the Series 200EP PDA detector is fully network compatible. In addition, IRIS® Spectral Processing Software provides intuitive spectral data processing, all protected under a fully 21 CFR Part 11-compliant architecture.

UHPLC and HPLCHigh performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and ultra high performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC), also known as UPLC, are analytical techniques used to separate, identify and quantitate components of complex mixtures including biological samples such as proteins and lipids as well as chemical mixtures of pesticides, drugs and oils. Both techniques are liquid chromatographic methods but differ by operating pressures (HPLC < 6000 psi < UHPLC ). Components of HPLC and UHPLC systems include columns, detectors, pumps, autosamplers and column heaters. Explore a range of UHPLC and HPLC columns for your specific sample needs including reverse phase, normal phase, ion exchange, HILIC, ion exclusion and size exclusion columns. It includes a number of techniques covering structural biology, synthetic chemistry and molecular biology. Technologies used in medicinal chemistry include ADME, lab-on-a-chip, high content screening and assay assembly.Process ChemistryProcess chemistry is an important stage of drug development for scaling-up drug production or chemical synthesis reactions. It is useful for optimizing economical and efficient drug production. Process chemistry uses reactors and pump systems as well as reagents, standards and buffers.Environmental Monitoring and TestingEnvironmental monitoring and testing uses handheld portable analyzers, kits, spectrometers or chromatography systems for air, water, soil, food and other sample testing. Useful features of analyzers such as BOD and COD include portability, easy calibration, automation and sensitivity.  Environmental test kits for pH, water, moisture, etc, should be accurate, sensitive, reliable, fast and easy to use.
