Peak Scientific donates to support homeschooling during Coronavirus pandemic

With school-age children across the United Kingdom now required to continue education from home, Peak Scientific was delighted to support the "Computers for Kids" campaign to help children who are unable to follow online lessons.

On the 26th of January, Peak Scientific supported the "Mail Force", "Computers for Kids" campaign by donating a £250,000 sum.

The "Computers for Kids" campaign was launched earlier this year by the Daily Mail after lockdown restrictions in the UK meant school-aged children across the country were no longer able to attend school. With many children unable to access lessons due to lack of suitable equipment like laptops or tablets, the campaign aims to provide equipment to allow all children to access education until they can safely return to classrooms.

As well as Peak Scientific's donation of £250,000, Daily Mail readers have donated over £375,000 whilst insurance firm Direct Line have donated a further £125,000 taking donations to £750,000 and counting.

Jonathan Golby, Peak Scientific's CEO, said of the campaign to raise funds to provide laptops for homeschooling 'It is an important initiative, and we are delighted to help. It is our belief that young people out there are really needing help and support at the moment. If they can't get through their education successfully, then it is going to impact their whole lives.'
