OHAUS Corporation, a leading manufacturer and marketer of high quality weighing and measurement equipment, is set to showcase its recently enhanced portfolio of quality driven laboratory instruments at the 2016 Pittcon Conference and Expo March 7-10th 2016 in Atlanta.

For over 100 years, the OHAUS name has been synonymous with accurate measurement in laboratories across the globe. The latest additions to OHAUS weighing portfolio will be on full display at this year's Pittcon, which will include the new Explorer Semi-Micro balance, the newly revamped Scout line of portable balances, and the completely redesigned MB Series of moisture analyzers.

The Explorer Semi-Micro balance now provides laboratory professional with an intuitive balance that includes the superior quality features and design the Explorer line is best known for — with the ability to provide results at 0.01mg. With a detachable control display, 4 touchless programmable sensors, large 5.3" touchscreen display, and optional built-in static ionizer in auto-door draft shield models, laboratory professionals can obtain accurate results with today's most modern features.

The all-new Scout is truly the next generation of portable balances. Thirty-five years ago, OHAUS created the portable electronic balance market with the introduction of the Port-O-Gram™ balance. In 1996, the first Scout series of portable balances made its way into laboratories and was quickly known for reliable, durable, and precise performance. Since its introduction two decades ago, the Scout has solidified its position as a market leader and customer favorite. The newest version of the Scout now offers an unmatched level of flexibility to serve different markets and handle multiple applications, making it the popular balance choice for everything from industrial to academic use. The new Scout is equipped with the option of a touchscreen, or backlit LCD model with manual keys for easy balance set-up and navigation through menus and applications. It also has expanded connectivity options that include RS232, USB Host, USB Device, Ethernet and Bluetooth®, making data transfer easy for users. Finally, the next generation of Scout provides best in class performance with an ultra-fast stability time, superior overload protection, increased number of weighing applications, and weighing capacities up to 8kg with readabilities as high as 1mg.

Rounding out the newly revamped OHAUS laboratory balance portfolio is the MB90 and MB120 balances, which are new additions to the industry favorite MB Series of moisture analyzers. The MB90 and MB120 feature a cleverly designed and precisely controlled halogen heating system that distributes heat up to 230⁰C uniformly over the sample, ensuring a high degree of repeatability of the sample under test. Each unit features a large 4.3" touchscreen graphic display that provides users with an intuitive interface for easy set-up of drying programs and daily use of the instruments. With a robust housing and die-cast base, the MB90 and MB120 are designed for durability and longevity in any facility. The MB120 can store up to 100 drying methods and provides result storage for each, providing access of historical measurements and statistical analysis on groups of measurements. Further adding to the number of enhancements that will make daily moisture analysis more efficient, the MB120 contains a temperature guide, which allows the operator to determine an optimum drying temperature, removing the need for tedious experimentation to determine a proper method

In addition to the dynamic OHAUS portfolio of weighing instruments, the full line of high performing water quality measurement instruments from OHAUS will be on display. The OHAUS Starter Series includes a practical line up of electrochemistry meters that include pen, portable and benchtop meters to fulfill the needs of a wide array of laboratory professionals and workplaces. With a proven track record of success in emerging marketplaces, the OHAUS Starter Series delivers a quality driven line of electrochemistry products that follow the tradition of performance and standard of value that OHAUS products are known for. The OHAUS Starter Series accurately tests for a variety of measurement types that include pH, Conductivity (EC), Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) and Salinity. The OHAUS Starter Series will be on display and live demonstrations will be performed in the OHAUS Booth #3862 for the duration of the 2016 Pittcon Conference and Expo.
