Tecan a complété sa série de pointes conductrices à usage unique haut de gamme 10, 200 et 1.000 µl avec une pointe de 50 µl. Ces pointes à usage unique ont été développées spécialement pour les postes de pipetage automatiques de Tecan, afin d’en améliorer les performances et de minimiser la contamination croisée d'une multitude d'applications de génomique et de médecine légale, ainsi que d’applications basées sur la méthode ELISA.

La précision et la plage de volume (de 1,0 à 50 µl) des pointes de 50 µl sont optimales pour la PCR, la quantification et la normalisation d’ADN et d’autres applications de pipetage avec de petites quantités, telles que la méthode ELISA. Grâce à sa géométrique unique en son genre, la pointe de 50 µl est compatible avec de nombreux types de consommables de laboratoires, notamment les microplaques, les plaques deep well et les tubes d’échantillons, et peut également perforer les septums. Le cône universel est conçu pour la série existante des appareils de pipetage Freedom EVO® de Tecan, et en particulier pour le bras de pipetage 8 Plus 1 Access™ mis en vente récemment pour la recherche biopharmaceutique, ainsi que pour la plate-forme HID EVOlution™ destinée aux applications de médecine légale.

Les pointes à usage unique de Tecan sont fabriquées et contrôlées suivant des spécifications techniques très sévères garantissant une qualité et une reproductibilité excellentes. Pendant la production, chaque point est examinée et testée individuellement. Le processus de production validé satisfait aux exigences des normes ISO 9001 et ISO 13485.
