Eksigent, a developer of advanced low-flow fluid delivery technologies for drug discovery and other life science applications, introduces the ExpressLC™ -800 Plus, featuring new solvent switching functionality.

The new system configuration makes up to six solvents available to each of the eight LC channels. Solvent switching is easily programmed via the system control software. The ExpressLC-800 Plus is ideal for methods development and high-throughput applications in drug discovery.

The ExpressLC-800 Plus allows solvents to be changed automatically with less handling and fewer errors. “This next generation system delivers a significant advance in productivity , reducing methods development time from weeks to days,” commented Phil DeLand, Senior Product Manager for Eksigent. “With this new functionality, users can vary their reaction parameters while eliminating manual sample changing and priming.”

The ExpressLC-800 Plus’ eight channels offer true multiplexed HPLC for dramatic savings in analysis time, labor and laboratory bench space. The ExpressLC-800 Plus combines advances in gradient delivery and mixing, sample injection and optical detection to deliver dramatically increased levels of separation resolution and speed.

Eksigent is a pioneer in low-flow fluid delivery systems that automate and accelerate proteomics, drug discovery, drug delivery and other life science applications. Eksigent’s core technologies include microscale pumping, microfluidic system design and microfabrication. The company offers solutions for nanoscale liquid chromatography, high-performance capillary liquid chromatography and microscale pumps.

UHPLC and HPLCHigh performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and ultra high performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC), also known as UPLC, are analytical techniques used to separate, identify and quantitate components of complex mixtures including biological samples such as proteins and lipids as well as chemical mixtures of pesticides, drugs and oils. Both techniques are liquid chromatographic methods but differ by operating pressures (HPLC < 6000 psi < UHPLC ). Components of HPLC and UHPLC systems include columns, detectors, pumps, autosamplers and column heaters. Explore a range of UHPLC and HPLC columns for your specific sample needs including reverse phase, normal phase, ion exchange, HILIC, ion exclusion and size exclusion columns.
