Porvair Sciences Ltd. has announced a new sterile 96-well Shallow Polypropylene Plate that offers a capacity of just 150µL per well reducing reagent costs and round well bottoms to ensure good mixing. Supplied sterile and DNA/RNA free in bags of 25, packed four to a case of 100, the new plates are an ideal tool for undertaking bacterial, yeast or cell growth work.

Manufactured from natural ultra-pure grade polypropylene under clean room conditions - Porvair's 96-well shallow polypropylene plate contains no contaminants that may leach out and affect biological samples. Bulk packs of suitable sterile lids are also available, so that the inconvenience of unwrapping individual sterile plates in a safety cabinet is completely eliminated. Beneficially the design of the shallow polypropylene plate positions samples much closer to analyser detectors, resulting in increased counting efficiencies.
