New SalivaGene Collector Launched by STRATEC

The novel SalivaGene Collector from STRATEC introduces a breakthrough simplification of saliva collection designed to provide highest DNA yields in high quality for pharmacogenomic applications. The patented lyophilized stabilization buffer supersedes cooling of samples and stabilizes genomic DNA for 12 months at room temperature.

As a non-invasive saliva collection method, the system reduces puncture-associated infection risks and provides high quality DNA to perform as well as blood-derived DNA on downstream applications. Subsequent DNA purification can be completed using the manual PSP® SalivaGene DNA kit.

Alternatively, DNA is purified directly from the SalivaGene Collector using the InviGenius®, a fully automated nucleic acid extraction system with full in-process control.
