Finnzymes’ new Phusion® Bacterial Profiling Kit enables fast and user-friendly characterization of bacterial populations. The profiling method is based on terminal restriction length polymorphism (T-RFLP) and it is suitable for a wide variety of sample materials. The kit is ideal for various applications such as for monitoring bacterial changes in food and dairy industry, for environmental research or for forensic comparison of soils.
The kit includes a complete set of reagents for PCR and subsequent endonuclease digestion. Importantly, to characterize the bacterial populations the users are given access to a tailor-made, regularly updated database which contains profiles of more than 60 000 bacterial targets.
