Product news

Mistaire Misonix has announced the release of the MY-PCR workstation. The new MY-PCR Prep provides the molecular biology laboratory technician with their own ‘personal cleanroom’, for use in the amplification of DNA and RNA.

The MY-PCR is a Class 100 vertical laminar flow workstation with timed UV light, making it an ideal bench-top personal clean zone for molecular biologists. The main chamber of the workstation is constructed from a continuous piece of polycarbonate to prevent UV light from escaping the chamber during irradiation. The work surface is white polypropylene and easy to clean and disinfect.

Constant positive pressure HEPA filtered air prevents contaminants from entering the workstation, and the station is equipped with a built-in 254 nanometer shortwave lamp to effectively decontaminate the work area between amplifications. Safety interlocks prevent operator exposure to potentially harmful UV radiation.

Use of the MY-PCR workstation reduces the risk of contamination whilst performing polymerase chain reaction experiments. Follow the company website link below for further information.
