Biotage introduces new SLE+ high-performance supported liquid extraction sample preparation columns. The ISOLUTE SLE+ columns were developed in response to customer demand for a larger capacity and as a higher performance alternative to existing columns.

The ISOLUTE SLE+ is also available in the new Array format, a modular plate design that provides cost savings and flexibility for method development. Advances in our development process and the unique characteristics of this material make it ideal for analytical environments where performance, simplicity and ruggedness are required.

Unlike labor intensive liquid-liquid extraction and complicated solid phase extraction methods, ISOLUTE SLE+ columns use a simple 3-step methodology, simply load, wait 5 minutes and elute. The ISOLUTE SLE+ columns combine clean extracts with rapid work flow and ease of use that ensure reproducibility. They are also suitable for use with sample volumes from 25uL up to 10ml.

Biotage sample preparation products are supported by a wealth of knowledge and experience in method development and trouble shooting. “Our expertise helps guide customers in choosing the right product and most efficient method that best suits their analytical needs”, says Scott Carr, VP of Commercial Operations. “At Biotage we strive to develop innovative scientific solutions that are simple, reliable and deliver accurate results. This new generation of products exemplifies Biotage’s expertise and continued commitment to high quality sample preparation.”

UHPLC and HPLCHigh performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and ultra high performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC), also known as UPLC, are analytical techniques used to separate, identify and quantitate components of complex mixtures including biological samples such as proteins and lipids as well as chemical mixtures of pesticides, drugs and oils. Both techniques are liquid chromatographic methods but differ by operating pressures (HPLC < 6000 psi < UHPLC ). Components of HPLC and UHPLC systems include columns, detectors, pumps, autosamplers and column heaters. Explore a range of UHPLC and HPLC columns for your specific sample needs including reverse phase, normal phase, ion exchange, HILIC, ion exclusion and size exclusion columns. For more specialized HPLC, explore FPLC, countercurrent LC and simulated moving bed systems. The nano refers to the very low flow rate of the mobile phase in the system. The advantage of nanoLC is its high sensitivity. Often the system is integrated with a mass spectrometer in nano LC-MS or nano LC-MS/MS. When using nanoLC equipment consider column choice, software and accurate and precise flow rate control.Solid-Phase ExtractionSolid-phase extraction (SPE) is used for clean-up, extraction and concentration of semi-volatile or non-volatile analytes from complex mixtures including blood, urine and food samples. Multiple formats are available for conducting SPE, including prepacked SPE cartridges, disks and microplates, as well as SPE sorbent powders for manual packing. SPE systems can be used to automate the process and extract multiple samples at once. Solid-phase microextraction (SPME) and supported liquid extraction (SLE) products are also available in the same formats.
