Product news

A new applications notebook from JEOL USA comprises more than 25 recent applications notes resulting from analyses using the AccuTOF-DART Direct Analysis in Real Time (DART™) mass spectrometer.

The broad range of applications in this second volume of notes published since the introduction of DART includes pharmaceuticals, foods, industrial products, forensic evidence, and biological fluids analyzed without sample preparation.

Samples are analyzed in open air using the DART ion source, resulting in instantaneous analysis of liquids, solids, and gases without altering the sample in any way.

The spiral bound, full color, 8 ½ x 11 booklet includes unique examples of instantaneous screening and analysis. Copies can be obtained by contacting JEOL USA at salesinfo@jeol.com or call 978-535-5900.

Mass SpectrometryMass spectrometry (MS) is a powerful analytical technique used to identify and quantify molecules based on the mass-to-charge ratio of gas-phase ions. It provides detailed information about the structure, composition, and properties of compounds and is widely used across fields such as environmental monitoring, materials science, drug discovery and development, food and beverage testing, and wider chemical research. Key MS techniques include tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS), liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LS-MS) and inductively coupled plasma (ICP-MS). Choosing from these wide range of techniques and technologies can be a daunting task, so keep up to date with scientific applications, performance expectations, and customer reviews here all in one place.
