Metrohm AG have introduced the Ti-Touch, the new compact titrator for routine analysis. The Ti-Touch is available in two versions for Karl Fischer titration (915 KF Ti-Touch) and potentiometric titration (916 Ti-Touch).

With Ti-Touch the buret, stirrer, dosing system and Touch Control module are cased in a single, compact unit. The small footprint saves benchspace.

Users can generate paperless, forge-proof PDF reports – without a PC. Any data generated (methods and results) can be sent directly to the LIMS or intranet and managed there. The Ti-Touch features a USB interface, so users can simply plug in a printer, USB stick or barcode reader.

Due to the 800 Dosino with its patented top-down dosing principle, the Ti-Touch enables contact-free exchange of KF reagents.

Up to 14 methods can each be linked to a favorite icon on the touch screen. Methods start at a single touch. Straightforward automation, plug-and-play functionality, self-monitoring of the system components and results complete the Ti-Touch’s key features.

LIMSLIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) is an informatics software system used to improve the quality assurance and quality control (QA / QC) of data management. LIMS can be a standard for common lab workflows, such as commercial off the shelf systems (COTS), or customized for more specialized lab use. Systems are available for mainframe computers or PC.TitrationTitration is an analytical technique for determining substance concentration in a solution. For titration consider a manual or automated system, volumetric or coulometric reagent addition and indication by a potentiometer, spectrometer, turbidometer or by the Karl Fischer method. Other features of titration to consider include burettes, reagents, concentration range, reaction time and autosamplers.
