Torrey Pines Scientific announces its EchoTherm™ RIC20 Peltier-driven, compact Chilling/Heating Temperature Stages settable from -20.0ºC TO 110.0ºC.

These units are designed for remote controlled applications on robotic systems. Any number of units can be set to any single temperature via a single computer serial port. The unit(s) will continue to run the temperature instructed, even without a hardwire connection, until told otherwise.

The RIC20 Series are compact and designed to take up as little space as possible on a robot platform. The units measure 6.5” (165 mm) long by 4.75” (120 mm) wide by 3.5” (89 mm) tall without a sample block.

Offered as accessories is the broadest variety of precision-made aluminum sample blocks available anywhere for standard assay plates, deep-well assay plates, centrifuge tubes of all sizes, vials, and most any size test tube. Custom sample blocks can be made for any sample container by request.

The RIC20 Series can be set to 0.1ºC and control temperature to ±0.1ºC. Temperature settings are stable to ±0.2ºC and accurate to ±0.5ºC. Each unit comes complete with chiller/heater module, universal power supply, AC line cord for the country of use, and instructions including the Serial Port Command Set.
The EchoTherm™ RIC20 Series units are UL, CSA, and CE compliant.

MicroplatesMicroplates are multi-well plates used to increase the throughput of biological investigations. The number of wells microplates contain can range from 6 to 3243 wells, with the 96-well format being the most commonly used. Microplates can come tailored for a range of applications including cell culture, PCR, filtration, storage, non-binding surface, protein crystallization, as well as pre-coated, deep well and normal Standard microplates. Additionally, options for microplate colors include clear , black, white or black with clear bottom and white with clear bottom for absorbance microplate reader applications. Types of freezers include deep freeze, -80C°C, ultra-low temperature, explosion proof, cryogenic and controlled rate freezers. Freezing is also used in freeze-drying equipment for dehydration processes. Feature to consider in freezers include temperature control and recorders, failure alarms and self-closing mechanisms.IncubatorsLaboratory incubators are used to provide a stable environment to cultivate and store samples in, giving you optimal control of temperature, humidity, oxygen and CO2 levels. Incubators are necessary equipment for cell culture and microbial research. Control temperature with heated or refrigerated incubators, or the levels of CO2 and oxygen with CO2 incubators. Using environmental chambers, create a humid climate for testing samples.
