BioTek Instruments, Inc. introduces at Lab Automation 2006, the NanoQuot™ Microplate Dispenser, an affordable, low volume liquid dispensing solution for the life science research and drug discovery markets.

Sub-microliter dispensing offers scientists increased assay throughput and lower reagent expenses. The NanoQuot dispenses these volumes down to 0.1 µl precisely and accurately into 96-, 384- and 1536-well microplates.

With an uncomplicated user interface, exceptional dispense performance, optional stacker, and remarkable pricepoint of $13,900, the NanoQuot is the best value in sub-microliter dispensers today. BioTek’s NanoQuot will help researchers transition into high density, low volume plate formats with an incomparable price-to-performance ratio while also maintaining backward compatibility with existing formats and volumes. At 1 µl users will achieve precision of < 5% CV. With an exceptionally small footprint and robotic accessible carrier, NanoQuot is ideally suited for use with BioTek’s Bio-Stack™ Microplate Stacker, Twister® II Microplate Handler or commercially available robotic systems.

See the NanoQuot for the first time at Lab Automation 2006 in booth #213.

BioTek Instruments, Inc., headquartered in Winooski, VT, is a worldwide leader in the design, manufacture, and sale of microplate instrumentation and software. Microplate Readers / DetectorsMicroplate readers are used to automate the detection and analysis of labeled or label-free components in microplates during assays or live-cell monitoring. Microplate readers are generally distinguished by their mode of detection. Types include absorbance, luminescence, fluorescence intensity, fluorescence polarization, TRF / FRET and multimode microplate readers. Microplate readers deliver a high throughput of samples by reading multiple wells simultaneously, with the 96-well format the most commonly used. As a result, microplate readers are often used in the drug discovery, bioassays, research and pharmaceutical industries for screening applications. Microplate loading can also be automated, with robotic microplate stackers to increase throughput.
