Any of the Eppendorf Centrifuges, 5804/5804 R or 5810/5810 R, can be set up on the new rolling cabinet and stored under most lab benches when not in use, or moved easily to another laboratory if required.

Designed specifically to accommodate Eppendorf’s multipurpose benchtop Centrifuges 5804/5804R and 5810/5810R, the rolling cabinet is constructed of powder-coated steel for strength and high chemical resistance. With two lockable castors and sturdy build, the rolling cabinet ensures safe centrifugation. For added convenience a large drawer with slip-resistant lining has been included to keep rotors and other accessories ready for use.

Peter Schreiner, International Product Manager Centrifugation, commented, ‘Space on the bench is a limiting factor in many laboratories. The new rolling cabinet enables more efficient use of available space as the centrifuge can simply be pushed under most lab benches when not in use, with rotors and other accessories neatly stored in the cabinet’s drawer. Eppendorf’s Centrifuges 5804/5804 R and 5810/5810 R are known for their excellent versatility, offering high capacity, high speed and a wide choice of rotors. Now the rolling cabinet provides greater freedom and flexibility to share the benefits of these features by moving the centrifuge to wherever users need to work.’

Centrifuges come in three sizes: microcentrifuges, benchtop and floor-standing centrifuges, depending on the volume and number of samples that require separation. When choosing a centrifuge, consider its maximum separation power indicated by its relative centrifugal force (RCF) value. Low force centrifuges reach a maximum RCF of 8,000 g, high-force centrifuges can reach maximum RCF values of 80,000 g. For extremely high forces, consider ultracentrifuges (up to 800,000 g). Refrigerated and vacuum centrifuges also known as concentrators are available for more specialized applications. A range of volumes are available for centrifuge tubes and microfuge tubes, depending on sample sizes.
