Camlab introduces a new, cost-effective instrument that lowers the cost of entry to multiparameter clean and waste water testing. The Camlab Water MC500 multiparameter colorimeter is designed to test more than 70 different clean and waste water testing parameters for the cost equivalent to two single parameter colorimeters.

The MC500’s design combines the mobility of a portable photometer with the characteristics of a modern laboratory photometer. The instrument addresses all the important parameters of water analysis, from aluminium to zinc. The high level of accuracy of Camlab water reagents and the user-friendliness of the MC500 enable rapid and reliable analysis of water samples for a variety of application markets including utilities, power, field measurement, aquaculture and industrial manufacturing.

Depending on the application, or the users’ requirements, this versatile instrument is capable of operating with powder pillows, tablets reagents or liquid reagents.

The easy-to-use MC500 features automatic wavelength selection and operates with six interference filters and uses long-life LEDs as a light-source. The MC500 has a memory capacity which is able to store up to 1000 data sets.

An optional infra-red interface for the MC500 enables data to be transmitted to a computer or printer (RS 232 / USB).

Washing EquipmentWashing equipment is more convenient than ever before with automated systems, integrated and multi-application systems available. For instance microplate washers can be programmable, combined with reagents dispensers and used for applications such as ELISA, multiplex assays and PCR clean up.Environmental Monitoring and TestingEnvironmental monitoring and testing uses handheld portable analyzers, kits, spectrometers or chromatography systems for air, water, soil, food and other sample testing. Useful features of analyzers such as BOD and COD include portability, easy calibration, automation and sensitivity.  Environmental test kits for pH, water, moisture, etc, should be accurate, sensitive, reliable, fast and easy to use.CalorimetryCalorimetry is a technique used to determine the heat released or absorbed in a chemical reaction. Calorimeters can be categorized into bomb calorimeters, constant pressure calorimeters, differential scanning calorimeters, isothermal titration calorimeters, X-ray microcalorimeters, heat-loss calorimeters, and high-energy particle calorimeters. The choice of calorimeter depends on the application.Water PurificationThere are a number of water purification methods available to remove contamination from laboratory water. These systems include demineralization, reverse osmosis, filtration and ultrafiltration. A combination of methods is sometimes necessary to achieve purified water suitable for use in experiments.
