Mindray Announces Registration of the BS-200 and BS-480 Chemistry Analyzers with Health Canada

Mindray announced that it has received a Medical Device License (#94555) from Health Canada to market and sell the Mindray BS-200 Chemistry Analyzer and the Mindray BS-480 Chemistry Analyzer into the Canadian laboratory market.

The Mindray BS-200 Chemistry Analyzer is a bench top system offering state-of-the art features commonly found on large volume analyzers. It produces 200 photometric test results per hour and 330 tests per hour with electrolytes. A comprehensive chemistry and urine drugs of abuse screening menu is a perfect low cost solution for low to mid volume laboratories.

The Mindray BS-480 Chemistry Analyzer meets the testing needs of mid-volume laboratories producing 400 photometric test results per hour, 240 electrolyte tests per hour with an overall throughput of 560 tests per hour. Advanced features of the BS-480 analyzer include numerous automatic processes such as Auto-Start-Up, -QC, -Rerun, -Pre-dilution, -Post-dilution, -ISE Calibration, -Probe Cleaning, -Reagent Blank Checks and -Probe Collision Recovery which provides the laboratory with smooth operational and enhanced workflow efficiencies. The BS-480 analyzer will feature a broad chemistry and urine drugs of abuse test menu including Vitamin D, currently in development.
