Millipore Enhances Millex^® Product Line by Introducing 33 mm Nylon Syringe Filters

Millipore Corporation today announced the availability of 33 mm Millex syringe filters with nylon membrane for analytical sample preparation.

These non-sterile syringe filters are used for filtration of 10 to 100 mL of aqueous and mild organic solutions prior to high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) or other instrument analysis. The 33 mm Millex syringe filters with nylon membranes are available in 0.20 µm and 0.45 µm pore sizes and deliver faster filter rates for high throughput. These filters are the latest addition to Millipore’s expanding line of 33 mm syringe filters that includes devices with Durapore^® (PVDF) and Millipore Express^® PLUS (PES) membranes.

The 33 mm Millex syringe filter’s color-coded, overmolded design results in a high operating pressure of 100 psig (10 bar) that contributes to their fast flow rate. In addition, the hold-up volume is 20% less than that of standard 25 mm syringe filters.

The 33 mm Millex line as well as Millipore’s Automation Compatible syringe filters for dissolution will be featured at Booth #2248 at Pittcon from February 25 until March 2 (McCormick Place Convention Center in Chigaco, IL).
