Buehler have introduced the MicroMet® 6000 series of microindentation hardness testers. They offer a versatile, affordable and reliable solution for quality control and metallurgical research from 0.1-1kg with a 2kg option.

The series was designed so that an inexperienced hardness testing operator can use the instrument immediately without training.

The series features a touch screen for set-up, hard-switch controls for daily operation and all system settings are available within 3 menu steps. Other features include USB interfaces for data export and automation, LED illumination and full OmniMet® MHT integration.

It is particularly of use with ferrous, steels and non-ferrous metals, IC wafers, thin plastics, metal foils & laminates, platings coatings, surface layers, heat treatment effects, case hardening, hardness depth of carburized layers, ceramics & carbides, and hardness resulting from welding or deposition.

Specifications:
• Eyepiece 10x with digital filar for measuring
• Motorized turret, 3 (1I, 20), 4 (1I, 30) or 6(2I, 40) positions
• Long work distance LWD optics minimizes risks
