Product news

Metrohm’s passion for innovation and philanthropy has been a long-standing tradition, dating back to Founder Bertold Suhner.

His love of science and engineering brought the world its first piston buret in 1956 with many other “firsts” following in the decades since. His care of people and community is what turned the company into a Foundation over 40 years ago — one that can never be bought or sold, and turns profits back over to its hometown of Herisau, Switzerland, to keep education and entrepreneurial spirits alive and well funded.

Taking this philanthropy one step further, Metrohm USA has introduced the Young Chemist award to recognize, celebrate and support our brilliant science leaders of the future. So many excellent entries made final selection difficult, and we couldn’t be more pleased! So join us in congratulating Mr. Matthew Dawson (University of California Irvine) on being the $10K grand-prize winner. And because of the difficulty our panelist/judges had in selecting just one winner, they decided to award a runner-up prize of $1,000 to Ms. Caroline Parworth (University of California Davis).
