MedTest announces the availability of an application that enables whole blood samples to automatically be lysed on-board the Mindray™ BS-200 Chemistry Analyzer prior to analysis for Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c). The Mindray™ BS-200 Chemistry Analyzer, whose menu includes general chemistry and urine drugs of abuse screening tests, meets the testing needs of small-volume laboratories while offering state-of-the-art features commonly found on large volume analyzers.

MedTest is the exclusive US distributor of the Mindray™ BS-200 Chemistry Analyzer, including manufacturing and distribution of reagents, calibrators and quality control products for the general chemistry and drugs of abuse testing markets. Automating the whole blood sample lyse procedure on-board the Mindray™ BS-200 Analyzer eliminates manual, off-line sample preparations resulting in significant timesaving and improving overall laboratory workflow. The HbA1c assay on the Mindray™ BS-200 is CLIA classified as “moderately” complex.

Hanjoon Ryu, CEO of MedTest, stated: “We are pleased to be able to offer this solution for processing Hemoglobin A1c whole blood samples on the Mindray™ BS-200 analyzer.
