Product news

Genedata will join the third annual SLAS conference in San Diego to present our Screener software platform. Our main focus will be the solution for compound combination experiments that has been co-developed with AstraZeneca and successfully implemented in their workflow. In addition, we will provide a sneak-peak of the upcoming release of Genedata Screener for SPR (Surface Plasmon Resonance).

If you are interested in either of these topics, if you are simply looking for an analysis solution for your particular screening technology, or if you are looking for a new software platform for your screening operations, please drop by booth #551 or attend our events:

Tutorial 1:
Genedata Screener: Mastering complex screening technologies (including SPR snapshot)
January 20, 2014
2:00pm - 2:45pm

Tutorial 2:
Genedata Screener Compound Synergy Extension: Complex raw data to transparent results in less than 30 minutes
January 21, 2014
2:00pm - 2:45pm

High-Throughput ScreeningHigh-throughput screening (HTS) is an automated drug discovery technique for identification of active compounds against a compound library. Use HTS readers and integrated assay preparation / analysis workstations to screen your compounds. Identify active compounds against various HTS libraries, including membranes, proteins and peptides and HTS cell lines. Find the best high-throughput screening products in our peer-reviewed product directory: compare products, check customer reviews and receive pricing direct from manufacturers.Compound LibrariesCompound libraries, or chemical libraries, are used in drug discovery for the identification of potential therapeutics compounds. Used in conjunction with high-throughput screening, the libraries of stored compounds are often generated for specific purposes as a drug target or disease model. Cheminformatics are commonly used when designing a compound library and software can be used to analyze the screening process.  Software PlatformsSoftware platforms are useful for various stages of laboratory experiments from data collection to data storage and processing. For instance lab software is available for system control, data management, data analysis and qualification / validation.Screening SystemScreeningUsing robotics, data processing and control software, liquid handling devices and sensitive detectors, screening allows a researcher to quickly conduct millions of chemical, genetic or pharmacological tests.Compound ScreeningCompound screening is a method used to discover specific compounds that could be promising candidates for pharmaceutical use. This potential is identified when compounds interact with the target protein during screening and could therefore be carried forward in the drug development process.SLASThe Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS) is an organization focused on laboratory automation, high-throughput screening, and biotechnology innovation. SLAS promotes scientific advancements through conferences, publications, and industry collaborations.
