At the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) 2023 Annual Meeting in Florida, USA, Lunaphore launched a full expansion of its product offering to provide a universal, end-to-end spatial biology solution.

The lunaphore multiplex immunofluorescence (mIF) solution portfolio now includes the latest version of the hyperplex, high-throughput, fully automated COMET™ instrument, providing scalability and reproducibility without the need to conjugate primary antibodies. The new SPYRE™ antibody panel kits, secondary antibodies, and an online panel builder have been added to the existing offering to help kick-start assay development and enable users with verified biomarkers on COMET™.

The product suite is further complemented by HORIZON™, an image analysis software designed and tailored for COMET™ hyperplex images. The software was developed to support biologists in answering fundamental questions about cell profiling and tissue mapping. With the Lunaphore universal portfolio of precision automation solutions, customers can leverage their existing antibody libraries and scale assays into multiplexing possibilities.

AntibodiesAntibodies are used in techniques such as confocal and fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISPOT, immunohistochemistry, western blotting and immunopreciptation. Select specific antigen reactivity, high specific affinity, low non-specific binding, monoclonal or polyclonal, primary or secondary antibodies and associated conjugates such as an enzyme or dye for visualization.BiosensorsBiosensors are devices used to detect an analyte using biological molecules specific to the analyte coupled to a detector. Biosensor instruments may be photometric, typically using surface plasma resonance (SPR), electrochemical or QCM (quartz crystal microbalance) biosensors. Biosensors should be selective, portable, robust and sensitive and have a fast response time. Systems may be manual or automated and usually have associated software.BiomarkersBiomarkers are biological markers which can be measured and evaluated to indicate a biological state. The use of biomarkers in research and diagnosis can indicate a normal or disease state or drug response of cells / tissues. Biomarkers include genetic markers, cell surface markers such as antigens, antibodies or receptors and secreted molecules such as cytokines. An assay system is required for identification of biomarkers. :Software PlatformsSoftware platforms are useful for various stages of laboratory experiments from data collection to data storage and processing.
