Product news

From the third quarter of 2010, LAUDA will offer an explosion-proof version of the Command remote control. The intrinsically safe design of the control panel is authorised for explosion protection II 2G EEx ia IIC T4. The modular nature of LAUDA thermostats means that this control unit, Command, can be used with the LAUDA Integral XT, Proline Kryomats and Proline devices.

The thermostats themselves are set up outside of the ex-zone. In addition to the actual control panel, two barrier boxes are also supplied, which are connected between the device and the control panel in order to ensure that the electrical currents are limited. The barrier boxes connected to the thermostat are connected to the Command and optionally to a sensor, which can be used as an external temperature gauge. Possible sensors would be a Pt100 resistance thermometer or a 4-20 mA temperature sensor.

Refrigerators Freezers and CryogenicsRefrigerators, Freezers & Cryogenics can be used for preservation or experimental purposes. Types of freezers include deep freeze, -80C°C, ultra-low temperature, explosion proof, cryogenic and controlled rate freezers. Freezing is also used in freeze-drying equipment for dehydration processes. Feature to consider in freezers include temperature control and recorders, failure alarms and self-closing mechanisms.IncubatorsLaboratory incubators are used to provide a stable environment to cultivate and store samples in, giving you optimal control of temperature, humidity, oxygen and CO2 levels. Incubators are necessary equipment for cell culture and microbial research. Control temperature with heated or refrigerated incubators, or the levels of CO2 and oxygen with CO2 incubators. Using environmental chambers, create a humid climate for testing samples. Thermal analysis equipment includes differential scanning calorimeters (DSC), thermogravimetric analyzers (TGA), thermomechanical analyzers (TMA), dilatometers, thermometers, vapor sorption analyzers, boiling and melting point apparatus. Thermal analyzers can reveal properties such as melting, crystallization and glass transitions or other processes such as oxidation, decomposition, volatilization, as well as coefficients of thermal expansion and modulus.
