AZURA® Analytical HPLC

HPLC tasks can be very demanding. With its optimized flow path and excellent eluent supply up to 700 bar, the AZURA Analytical HPLC can take full advantage of latest core-shell columns to achieve sensitive and high resolution results. Ultra High pressure tasks up to 1000 bar can be achieved with our very new AZURA UHPLC. A wide range of injection volumes (0.1 to 5000 μl), flow rates (0.01 to 50 ml/min), and available flow cells makes AZURA easily adaptable to your application needs.

Purification solutions

Depending on the application, either batch or continuous separation solutions can be offered by KNAUER. AZURA Batch LC systems are available in stainless steel for most tasks or metal-free for biopurification solutions. The AZURA Prep LC systems can handle flow rates from 0.1 to 1000 ml/min at pressures of up to 400 bar. Samples can be applied via an integrated injection valve and feed pump. The systems offer options for solvent or peak recycling as well as the choice to fractionate via valves or fraction collectors.

Continuous LC allows most efficient purification in terms of purity and yield and is available with either SMB for binary mixtures or MCSGP for more complex product mixtures.

KNAUER dosing pumps

One of KNAUER´s core competencies is the development of high-pressure dosing pumps. Those pumps have to fulfill very demanding tasks in food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. They can convey and dose aqueous, organic and highly viscous liquids (up to 1000 mPa×s) as well as aggressive media or liquefied gases. Moreover, these pumps can dose at high or low temperatures (-10 °C to 120 °C) and at high pressures (up to 400 bar).

UHPLC and HPLCHigh performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and ultra high performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC), also known as UPLC, are analytical techniques used to separate, identify and quantitate components of complex mixtures including biological samples such as proteins and lipids as well as chemical mixtures of pesticides, drugs and oils. Both techniques are liquid chromatographic methods but differ by operating pressures (HPLC < 6000 psi < UHPLC ). Components of HPLC and UHPLC systems include columns, detectors, pumps, autosamplers and column heaters. Explore a range of UHPLC and HPLC columns for your specific sample needs including reverse phase, normal phase, ion exchange, HILIC, ion exclusion and size exclusion columns. The pressures/vacuums generated are determined by the type of pump used. High vacuum pumps include diffusion, ion, roots and turbopumps; for primary/medium vacuum applications see rotary vane pumps, scroll & diaphragm pumps. For the positive displacement of liquids explore a range of syringe and peristaltic pumps, as well as fluid aspirators.
