Product news

JASCO is proud to introduce the new P-2000 multi-option polarimeter. The P-2000 is designed to be a customizable polarimeter which can be equipped with various options to handle a researcher’s initial requirements and budget; and can also be upgraded in the field at any time as the operator’s requirements change.

The P-2000 is a simple unit to operate via PC with Windows® software or by using JASCO’s convenient, hand-held controller (iRM).

The new P-2000 also offers a range of light sources including Tungsten-Halogen, Sodium, or Mercury lamps. Up to two light sources can be simultaneously installed in the instrument giving the P-2000 the widest wavelength range of any polarimeter available; from the UV-Vis region (254 nm) to the NIR region (880 nm). Additionally, sample temperature control is available at (±0.1°C) accuracy.

Inside and out, the new P-2000 polarimeter is in a class by itself. The optimized optical design, 21 CFR 11 compliance, and a lifetime warranty on both its polarizers and modulators make this instrument the clear choice for today’s modern laboratory.

VoltammetryVoltammetry is a sensitive analytical technique for elemental detection. In a voltammeter the current is measured in the system whilst the voltage is varied. Usually 3 metal electrodes are required including the reference, auxiliary and working electrodes. In polarography, a subclass of voltammetry, the working electrode used is a dropping mercury electrode (DME). The 2 main types of voltammetry are cyclic and linear sweep voltammetry.
