Product news

Unfortunately it is a common experience in robotic assay applications that it is difficult to achieve stable, uniform temperature control of microplates or tubes with peltier devices.

ARC Sciences provides a wide range of temperature control solutions from MéCour, that give you UNIFORM, PRECISE temperature control across the whole of the microplate area, or any type of array. This provides more accurate temperatures and more uniform control, maximising the efficiency of very expensive robots. There are many different standard formats and there are options solutions for ALL common robots.

MéCour is a well established manufacturer of cost effective, high performance temperature control products for use in Drug Discovery, Bioscience, Molecular Biology and in fact any application that demands minimal temperature variation and maximum uniformity and stability.
As well as robotic applications, using a MéCour tube holder and circulator stops your samples floating in an ice bucket and toppling over, providing a stable working platform for manual assays.
In addition to a wide range of standard devices ARC Sciences can provide design specific solutions tailored to an application and can provide adapters for almost any type of vessel, not just microplates. We provide temperature controlled stacking towers, tube racks and exchangers for cell culture vessels.

• 96, 384 and 1536 well plates
• Multiple position units
• Deep or shallow format
• Tubes
• Storage Towers
• Design specific devices
• Temp range -100 to +250°C
• Rapid cooling or heating

Assay AssemblyAssay Assembly is technique used in drug discovery to develop assays to test the cytotoxicity, genotoxicity, or other activities of a compound on a cell. Assay assembly requires chip assembly, a delivery system and a detection and analysis method. Beneficial features of assay kits or automated systems include high-throughput, high speed and sensitivity and low signal to noise ratio.Microarray AnalysisMicroarrays, also known as biochips, are used for the detection and analysis of multiple genes, proteins, antibodies, or biomarkers on a single microchip. This can reveal information on protein or gene expression, single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP), copy number variation (CNV), epigenetics and patient health in clinical diagnostic tests. Discover a range of microarray scanners and prefabricated antibody, protein, RNA and DNA microarrays for your analysis or consider creating your own custom microarrays with a microarray printer. This can reveal information on cell health (apoptosis, cytotoxicity, viability and proliferation assays), cell metabolism, cell migration and cell signaling mechanisms. Find the best cell-based assay products, kits and equipment with our peer reviewed product directory: compare products, check customer reviews and receiving pricing direct from manufacturers.Automation Supplies / AccessoriesAutomated accessories and consumables make lab processes fast, efficient and reliable. Useful automation accessories include microplate sealers, label printers and reagent reservoirs.Plate ProcessingAutomated plate processing is used in microplate technologies for high-throughput, speed and efficiency. Plate processing systems include microplate handlers for moving plates, heat sealers, stackers and carousels for storage, retrieval and delivery, microplate washers and piercers. Useful features of plate processors include walk-away automation, compatibility and easy integration with microplate systems.Automated Liquid HandlingAutomated liquid handling equipment is used to mix, dilute and dispense allotted volumes of liquid into microplates and other vessels automatically. The robotic, liquid handling arms can dispense from single channel to 3456 multichannel as well as operate nanoliter dispensing, enabling high throughput of samples.
