At SLAS 2014 - INTEGRA will launch the VIAFLO ASSIST - an innovative new device that, in combination with a VIAFLO II electronic handheld pipette, enables the pipette’s protocols to be performed automatically. This unique new product from INTEGRA reduces the need for traditional handheld pipetting to a minimum, relieving lab personnel from activities that may cause repetitive stress injuries.

Handheld pipetting requires practice to achieve steady reproducible pipetting results. Typical parameters influencing performance are tip immersion depth and pipetting angle. The automated pipetting capability of VIAFLO ASSIST ensures these parameters are always the same, resulting in increased reproducibility and thus better results. To use the VIAFLO ASSIST, simply mount a VIAFLO II electronic pipette onto the pipette adapter, choose a protocol and press the run button. VIAFLO ASSIST will then obtain the protocol via Bluetooth from the VIAFLO II electronic pipette and automatically execute it.

Low required tip ejection forces. All tips seal at the same height ensuring a perfect touch off and increased precision when dispensing. Intuitive User Interface - A full color screen and a proven touch wheel interface offer quick and comprehensible menu navigation. Simply by moving a finger over the touch wheel, menus and settings can be accessed. All menus are spelled out on the clear to read screen making memorizing of abbreviations unnecessary. Convenient Pipette and Program Management - VIAFLO pipettes can be connected to a computer via USB port. With the free to use pipette management software VIALINK, custom programs can be created on the computer and then be transferred onto VIAFLO pipettes. For laboratories with many users or power users with many pipetting protocols, all custom programs can be stored and backed up in a library on the computer.
